How Can We Reap Learning Benefits for Individuals With Growth and Fixed Mindsets?: Understanding Self-Reflection and Self-Compassion as the Psychological Pathways to Maximize Positive Learning Outcomes

چکیده

Having a growth mindset has been hailed as one of the most critical advancements in understanding students’ motivation recent years. The attention on indicates an increased surge public’s interest using evidence-based intervention models to facilitate learning. Because positive benefits mindsets are apparent, changing ones’ becomes core focus literature. But aside from “changing” mindsets, finding right kind psychological interventions that leverage student’s or fixed with sustainable improvement for students can be as, if not more important. current study seeks fill this research gap. Our first indicated learners relatively high benefit self-reflection learning strategy. However, very same strategy harm those mindset. second used experimental manipulation show enhance their process and outcomes strategies. In contrast, improve result self-compassion identified two distinct mechanisms – linked them outcomes. It also demonstrates how directly these design.
